EMERGENCY IN UKRAINE: MAKE A DONATION NOW!

Since February 24th Kiev is under attack!
For children with cancer it was a tragic day: surgical interventions were suspended, and also chemotherapy sessions had to be re-scheduled. The priority is to provide safe shelters for children and families, ensure the continuity in medical treatment for cancer, and save them from another danger: the harsh Ukrainian winter.

We need your help not to leave children with cancer alone and continue to provide them with the care they need.

UPDATES FROM KIEV

Soleterre is working in Ukraine since 2003, providing medical treatment, accommodation and psychological support to children with cancer and their families in Kiev and Lviv.

This has allowed us to act from the first day of the war, and give help not only to children with cancer, but to all the people on the run.
In the first emergency phase we proceeded with evacuating families and children from Kiev to Lviv, and then from Lviv to the Polish borders.

That was the largest evacuation of pediatric cancer patients to hospitals in Italy, Europe and even outside the continent, with medical flights assisted by doctors, nurses and psychologists of Soleterre.

We also opened a new intervention area at the Polish border to provide emotional support and welcome refugees fleeing the war; strengthened networking with Ukrainian hospitals and launched a care activity for all the children who have been affected by the war.

In November, we opened a shelter in Neslukhiv, in the west of Ukraine: around 100 people (including children with cancer, disabled people and the elderly) have now a flat of their own and financial and psycho-psychological help.

Meanwhile winter has arrived in Ukraine and the people have no way to warm up nor electricity: the cold is a new enemy to protect themselves from.

We have to act immediately, bringing stoves, firewood and psychological assistance to this exhausted population.

TOGETHER WE CAN HELP THEM!
