The condemnation of inequalities and of the social and economic mechanisms that determine them, favoring poverty, violence, discrimination and the violation of human rights, are an integral part of Soleterre’s work.
Our purpose is to sensitize, inform, spread, create networks, and activate paths for political and social changes at both a national and an international level.
Currently, Soleterre’s commitment is focused on the promotion and respect of the right to health, which is too often still disregarded, or interpreted in a restrictive manner compared to what the World Health Organization has indicated since 1948, defining it as: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not simply the absence of illness or infirmity.”
Particularly, the Organization supports and participates in network activation and promotion of campaigns to achieve universal health coverage, and is engaged in the preparation and distribution of material for in-depth study and awareness on the issue of the fight against childhood cancer globally and for the support of pediatric oncology.
